Lapel is a perfect 10-0 against Knightstown since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will host the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lapel has three straight victories, Knightstown has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Thursday, Lapel made easy work of Eastern Hancock and carried off a 3-0 win.
The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 29-27.

Lapel found their leader in sophomore Layla Graham, who had 14 digs and five assists. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Graham.
Meanwhile, Knightstown didn't have quite enough to beat Blue River Valley on Saturday and fell 3-2. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 25-16 in the first set.
Knightstown actually scored more points across those five sets (97-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-16, 12-25, 25-20, 15-11.
Lapel's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Knightstown, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
Everything went Lapel's way against Knightstown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Lapel made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
