It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sheridan Blackhawks can now relate to. They were dealt a 56-14 defeat at the hands of Indianapolis Lutheran on Friday. Sheridan's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Although Sheridan took the loss, they still got scores from Eli Kolb and Nolan Page.
Braydon Hall was a one-man wrecking crew for Indianapolis Lutheran as he rushed for 218 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Hall's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Willis, who threw for 208 yards and a touchdown on only 13 passes.
Sheridan's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Indianapolis Lutheran will take on Adams Central at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Adams Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
