There's no place like home for Greater New Bedford RVT, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Bourne Canalmen get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Thursday. The matchup marked the Bears' most dominant win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Boston Bettencourt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Fortes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Greater New Bedford RVT pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bourne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.
