Gig Harbor has won five straight games at home, while Central Kitsap has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Tides will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Gig Harbor's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Lincoln with a sharp 14-0 victory.

Gig Harbor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive games.
Central Kitsap came out on top against Mount Tahoma on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run second inning. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the T-Birds. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the T-Birds: they've now won five in a row.
Savvy Paulson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Paulson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Central Kitsap got a massive performance out of Kylee Peterson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Peterson has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Berg, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Gig Harbor's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Central Kitsap, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Gig Harbor has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13 hits per game. However, it's not like Central Kitsap struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Gig Harbor couldn't quite finish off Central Kitsap when the teams last played back in March and fell 6-4. Will the Tides have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
