The Bellows Falls Terriers will challenge the Otter Valley Otters at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bellows Falls took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Windsor a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Terriers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Jaden Bazin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Eli Allbee was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Quincy Knapp, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Bellows Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Otter Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Fair Haven on Thursday. The Otters blew past the Slaters 10-0. With that victory, the Otters brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Like Bellows Falls, Otter Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Jacob Warrell. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Warrell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Otter Valley: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Otter Valley got a massive performance out of Max Potter, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Jackson Howe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Bellows Falls pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Otter Valley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bellows Falls has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Otter Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bellows Falls might still be hurting after the 15-7 defeat they got from Otter Valley when the teams last played back in April. Will the Terriers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
