The Plenty Coups Warriors won the last time they faced the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades, and things went their way on Saturday too. Plenty Coups came out on top in a nail-biter against Reed Point/Rapelje and snuck past 56-53.
When it comes to explaining why Reed Point/Rapelje lost, one person who can't be blamed is Axel Blodgett. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blodgett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Ulmer, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Reed Point/Rapelje were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Plenty Coups' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plenty Coups' road trip will continue as they head out to face Absarokee at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, they will take on Custer/Hysham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Custer/Hysham will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
