The Winter Park Wildcats waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They really took it to Cypress Creek for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-15 victory at home. With Winter Park ahead 36-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Sam Childs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Riley, who scored four points along with two steals.
Winter Park's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. As for Cypress Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Winter Park will face off against the Huskies at TBD on Monday. As for Cypress Creek, they will take on the Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
