The Clyde Fliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 56-45 to Bellevue. Clyde has not had much luck with Bellevue recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Clyde had strong showings from Brayden Olson, who scored 23 points, and Cedric Messer, who scored 13 points. Olson is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.
Clyde struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Clyde dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bellevue, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Willard the next time they take the court. Clyde will host Willard at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Bellevue will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
