The Lewis & Clark Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Ridgeline Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Lewis & Clark scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Central Valley with points to spare, taking the game 78-60. Given Lewis & Clark's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Bears are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ridgeline has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They suffered a tough 81-59 loss at the hands of Mt. Spokane on Friday. Ridgeline has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Ridgeline's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caden Andreas, who scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals, and Easton Amend who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Perry, who scored eight points.
The victory was the third in a row for Lewis & Clark, bringing their record for this year to 12-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Ridgeline, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Lewis & Clark came up short against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 68-64. Thankfully for Lewis & Clark, Isaac Richardson (who scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
