The Bison Cardinals won against the Takini Skyhawks on Saturday with 70 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Bison came out on top in a nail-biter against the Skyhawks and snuck past 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bison has posted against the Skyhawks since February 12, 2019.
Rylee Veal was his usual excellent self, scoring 34 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bison's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Stadler, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The win (which was Bison's third in a row) raised their record to 5-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Takini, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Bison will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Takini will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on February 8th.
