Cedar Hill (Texas) 40-21 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Harris touchdown pass to
Krondis Larry in the second quarter, the Tornadoes led 18-14 at the half.
Washington expanded its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
D'von Ballard.
The Longhorns'
Laquvionte Gonzalez was the standout player for his team. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Miami school, which lost to Central last week, 37-26.
Cedar Hill (1-3) will play a 5A Region I District 7 game against DeSoto next week, while Washington (2-1) will take on Jones in a non-conference game.
