Even though the Mulberry Panthers scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the Hernando Leopards still came out on top. Hernando came out on top in a nail-biter against Mulberry and snuck past 59-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hernando.
Hernando can attribute much of their success to Aaron Laskey, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Rivera, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
The win got Hernando back to even at 2-2. As for Mulberry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hernando will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lecanto at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for Mulberry, they will challenge Fort Meade at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
