There's no place like home for the Challis Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against American Heritage on Tuesday as Challis made off with a 56-34 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Challis has posted since December 20, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Challis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Angel Mercado, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mercado has scored all season. Brayden Ollar was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Challis now has a winning record of 9-8. As for American Heritage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Challis will take on Grace at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for American Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Challis at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
