After three games on the road, Coral Springs Charter is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Monarch Knights at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
After soaring to 56 points the game before, Coral Springs Charter were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They suffered a rough 43-20 loss at the hands of Don Soffer Aventura. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Coral Springs Charter has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Monarch unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to Northeast at home by a decisive 56-42 margin. While losing is never fun, Monarch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Northeast is ranked 73rd).
Despite their defeat, Monarch saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jamir Davis, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Samari Reed was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Coral Springs Charter's defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-14. As for Monarch, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Coral Springs Charter came up short against Monarch in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 53-46. Will Coral Springs Charter have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
