Eastern Greene is 1-8 against Edgewood since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Edgewood Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastern Greene posted their biggest win since November 11, 2023 on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mitchell with a sharp 53-32 win. The win was just what Eastern Greene needed coming off of a 52-13 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Edgewood strolled past Owen Valley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-43. That's two games straight that Edgewood has won by exactly 14 points.
Edgewood found their leader in underclassman Macey Crider, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Bland, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Eastern Greene's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Edgewood, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.
Eastern Greene strolled past Edgewood in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 39-24. Will Eastern Greene repeat their success, or does Edgewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
