Wilkes-Barre lost to the Selinsgrove Seals back in December of 2022, but Wilkes-Barre didn't allow the Selinsgrove Seals the same satisfaction on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Wilkes-Barre made off with a 50-49 win over Selinsgrove. That's two games straight that Wilkes-Barre has won by exactly a single point.
Despite the loss, Selinsgrove still got an impressive performance from Ries Naugle, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Naugle's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jace Diehl, who scored ten points.
Wilkes-Barre now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Selinsgrove, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilkes-Barre will challenge Wallenpaupack Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Selinsgrove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mifflinburg at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
