The Robinson Senators are on the road again on Friday and play against the Southside Southerners at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Robinson is ranked 31st, while Southside is ranked 25th).
After soaring to 41 points the game before, Robinson were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell 20-7 to Pine Bluff.
Meanwhile, Southside stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Paragould with a sharp 35-13 win. Southside pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Paragould cut but never quite recovered from.
Southside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabe Witt, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Witt was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Another player making a difference was Savion Hall, who rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Pine Bluff's victory bumped their season record to 8-2 while Robinson's defeat dropped theirs to 7-3.
Everything came up roses for Robinson against Southside in their previous matchup back in November of 2016 as the squad secured a 46-13 win. Does Robinson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
