Shelbyville Central will take on Summit in each of the teams' third playoff matchup on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Shelbyville Central skips in on nine wins and Summit on three.
Shelbyville Central earned some more postseason success in their game last Friday. They skirted past Beech 20-17. The Golden Eagles' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kade Cunningham, who picked up 65 yards on the ground on 14 carries and threw two passing touchdowns, and Caleb Marsh, who rushed for 139 yards and one TD on 22 carries. That makes it three straight good games from Cunningham.
Meanwhile, Summit took their contest against Page by a conclusive 28-3 score.
The Golden Eagles had enough points to win and then some against the Spartans the last time the two teams met in October, taking their contest 42-25. Will Shelbyville Central repeat their success, or does Summit have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
