For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Covington has posted yet this season.
Milton-Union's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Brumbaugh, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Ava Berberich was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Covington's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Milton-Union, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.
Covington will head out on the road to square off against Lehman Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milton-Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethel at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Bethel has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
