La Grange is 10-0 against Caldwell since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The La Grange Leopards will head out on the road to challenge the Caldwell Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully La Grange focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Tuesday.
La Grange unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak. They took a hard 52-38 fall against Taylor. La Grange has struggled against Taylor recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Victoria Harold, who scored six points along with eight rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Campbell Cooper, who scored 15 points along with two blocks.
Caldwell posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Austin Achieve on the road to the tune of 52-14. The win made it back-to-back wins for Caldwell.
Caldwell found their leader in underclassman Tyniah Johnson, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Cadie Coston was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
La Grange's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10. As for Caldwell, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-17.
Everything came up roses for La Grange against Caldwell in their previous matchup on January 2nd as the team secured a 51-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Grange since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
