After a string of four wins, the Cadott Hornets's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were beaten by Elk Mound 69-19. Having soared to a lofty 78 points in the game before, Cadott couldn't push the score so high this time.
Kasey Moldrem was Cadott's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Bradee Burish took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Cadott's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Elk Mound, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 5-0 record.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cadott will square off against Cornell/Lake Holcombe at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Elk Mound, they will head out on the road to face off against Mondovi at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mondovi will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Elk Mound is ranked eighth).
