The Carol City Chiefs suffered their biggest defeat since November 27, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Dr. Krop at home and fell 72-43. Carol City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.
Despite the loss, Carol City still got an impressive performance from Kimaury McGregor, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McGregor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Decurtis Johnson, who scored five points along with five assists and three steals.
Dr. Krop had a senior duo take command as Joseph Washington scored 28 points along with nine rebounds and six assists and Emmanuel Ferguson dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Washington has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Jordan Alexandre was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Carol City and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Dr. Krop, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carol City will take on International Studies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. International Studies is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Dr. Krop, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monsignor Pace at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monsignor Pace is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.5 points per game.
