Field and Mogadore are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Field Falcons will be home for the holidays to greet the Mogadore Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-43, which was the final score in Field's tilt against Streetsboro on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Field in their matchups with Streetsboro: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Field had strong showings from Ally Harlin, who scored 18 points, and Delilah Rahe, who scored 14 points. Rahe scored a full 32.6% of Field's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mckayla Miller, who scored six points.
Field struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mogadore came up short against Southeast on Wednesday and fell 36-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mogadore has scored all season.
Field now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mogadore, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-3.
Field skirted past Mogadore 45-43 when the teams last played back in January. Will Field repeat their success, or does Mogadore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
