The New Life Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crosspoint Christian. New Life Christian has struggled against Crosspoint Christian recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Crosspoint Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but James Murray led the charge by dropping a double-double on 25 points and 30 rebounds. Murray has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jace Stroup, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
New Life Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Crosspoint Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
New Life Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Louis HomeSchool P at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crosspoint Christian will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Liberty Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Liberty Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
