The Holland Patent Golden Knights came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Camden with a sharp 45-22 victory on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Holland Patent, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Holland Patent to victory were Michaela Cushman and Terralyn McLaughlin. Cushman almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds, while McLaughlin scored 21 points along with four steals. McLaughlin is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Mierek, who scored four points along with three steals.
Holland Patent's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Camden, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
Holland Patent will take on the Wildcats at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Camden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
