After losing to the Cape Coral Seahawks the last time they met, the Cypress Lake Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Cypress Lake managed a 36-30 victory over the Seahawks on Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cypress Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lilly Witz, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Bri Madore, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Cypress Lake has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Cape Coral, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Lake and the Patriots will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Aubrey Rogers focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Cape Coral, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bullsharks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bonita Springs is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Seahawks a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
