Oxbow is 0-6 against Danville since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Oxbow Olympians will head out on the road to face off against the Danville Bears at 7:30 p.m. Oxbow is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Oxbow managed to keep up with Williamstown until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Oxbow ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-50 walloping at the hands of Williamstown. Oxbow has struggled against Williamstown recently, as their contest on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Danville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 60-36 margin over Northfield. Danville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Oxbow has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Danville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Oxbow lost to Danville on the road by a decisive 55-39 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Oxbow avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
