Baseball Recap: Seekonk Wins Going Away Against Fairhaven

Seekonk barely beat Fairhaven the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Blue Devils on Tuesday. Considering the Warriors have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Lasalle tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Flynn, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Greyson Baldizar was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Seekonk kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Seekonk and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Fairhaven, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seekonk will take on West Bridgewater at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairhaven, they will face off against St. John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
