The Marietta Blue Devils will challenge the North Cobb Warriors at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both  have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Marietta and five for North Cobb.
Marietta is headed into the  match having just  suffered their closest  defeat since December 7, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Cherokee by a score of  61-58. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 70th, while the Warriors are ranked seventh).

 Despite the  loss, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Leah DeWitt  dropped  a double-double on 31  points and 14  rebounds. The  game was  DeWitt's 21st in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mckenzie Everett, who  went 5 for 12  on her way to 13 points and five  boards.
 Meanwhile, North Cobb ended up a good deal behind Wheeler on Wednesday and lost  52-35.
 North Cobb's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Marietta, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
