Pocono Mountain West came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Kaylee Masotti made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Cayleigh Keller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Sam Rider was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
