The Hanford West Huskies fell victim to the Immanuel Eagles''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Eagles on the road and fell 29-0. Hanford West can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their eight games.
Even if they lost, Hanford West's defense still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. Leading the way was James Hernandez and his two sacks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immanuel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shane Spomer, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Immanuel also got a significant boost from Balton King, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Hanford West's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.0 points per game. As for Immanuel, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
