While Stockton's victory against Pierce City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Eagles on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Stockton's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Pierce City, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Stockton will face off against Diamond at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.7, the Wildcats 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pierce City, they will challenge Marionville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.08 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
