The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ravenwood, who took down 29th ranked Franklin, 20-14.
The Raptors moved up to 130 from 176 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAA District 11. A 20-14 win over the Rebels helped Ravenwood improve its standing.
Franklin's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joe Critchlow threw for 120 and two touchdowns and Garrison Mathews had 58 yards receiving. On the ground Colton Morrison chipped in 164 yards. Tony Flemister helped Franklin's passing attack out by catching four balls for 57 yards.
Zach Bacon made the biggest impact on defense this week as Donnie Webb's team fell to the Raptors. The 6-foot-3 defensive lineman racked up one sack.
The Rebels' Critchlow and Mathews have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Critchlow has thrown for 750 yards this season, while Mathews, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 28 catches for 279 yards. Independence's Jalen Wade leads the league in rushing yards with 730.
Brentwood extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Centennial, 55-35. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
