Addison McKiness made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, DeKalb let Cassidy Cavazos and Kennedy Latimer run wild. Cavazos got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Latimer went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
