The Crestview Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Pace Patriots, and things went their way on Friday too. Crestview was the clear victor by a 55-33 margin over Pace. With Crestview ahead 29-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Makhi Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Klauser, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Crestview and bumps their season record up to 8-7. As for Pace, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will take on Niceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pace and Gulf Breeze will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gulf Breeze knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Pace likes a good challenge.
