Perry County is 1-7 against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. After only seven points in their last matchup, Perry County made sure to put some points up on the board against Middleton on Friday. Perry County took down Middleton 41-22. The win was some much needed relief for Perry County as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against McEwen, falling 50-21.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Daegan Collins, who rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Collins was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Perry County's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Perry County came up short against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 56-46. Can Perry County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
