The Central Catholic Rams will be playing at home against the North Medford Black Tornado on Friday. Central Catholic is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Central Catholic can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest last Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 76-0 victory over David Douglas. Given Central Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked second, while David Douglas is ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Cru Newman, who rushed for 32 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Davis, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, North Medford got themselves on the board against South Medford on Friday, but South Medford never followed suit. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 10-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Medford.
North Medford relied on the efforts of Landyn Meeker, who rushed for 105 yards on only ten carries, and Jeremiah Robbins, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown.
Central Catholic's victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for North Medford, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
