North hasn't had much luck against Palos Verdes recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Saxons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sea Kings at 3:30 p.m. North will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
North is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over Hawthorne on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Ethan Cannon looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kai Nagashima, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Mirabal, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 12.2.
Meanwhile, Palos Verdes lost 7-1 to Palm Desert on Thursday. The Sea Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Palos Verdes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Van Scoyoc, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
North pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Palos Verdes, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Palos Verdes struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
