It was a good run, but the Dulaney Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-41 to Mount de Sales Academy. Dulaney was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mount de Sales Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Shelby Lewis, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds for Mount de Sales Academy. Lewis set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Powers, who scored nine points.
Dulaney's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Mount de Sales Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Dulaney will head out on the road to face off against Overlea at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they will be playing at home against Annapolis Area Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
