The Ryle Raiders had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They strolled past Conner with points to spare, taking the game 67-52. Given Ryle's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Conner is ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ryle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinn Eubank, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Eubank has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Kassidy Peters was another key contributor, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists.
Ryle's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Conner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.
Ryle won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mercy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Ryle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. As for Conner, they will head out on the road to square off against Whitefield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
