The Coudersport Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Elk County Catholic Crusaders at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Coudersport comes in on three and Elk County Catholic on 12.
On Friday, Coudersport made easy work of Otto-Eldred and carried off an 8-2 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Mason Roessner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Coudersport let Quinn Kratzer and Mitchell Taylor run wild. Kratzer went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Taylor went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits Taylor has posted since back in April.
Coudersport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Elk County Catholic never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Kane.
Like Coudersport, Elk County Catholic also got a great game from a two-way player: Lance O'Neill. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. O'Neill was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Simbeck, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Wyatt Brem was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Elk County Catholic's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Coudersport, their record is now 11-4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Coudersport has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Elk County Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Coudersport came up short against Elk County Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 6-3. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
