The Fairland Dragons had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chesapeake 38-2 on the road. The result was nothing new for Fairland, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Peyton Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 309 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Brycen Hunt also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.
Fairland's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Chesapeake, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Fairland will look to defend their home field on Friday against Portsmouth at 7:00 p.m. Portsmouth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Fairland is ranked 165th). Chesapeake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
