The Okeechobee Brahmans were the 38-35 winner over the Jensen Beach Falcons when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Okeechobee fell just short of Jensen Beach by a score of 50-48. Okeechobee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Okeechobee still got an impressive performance from Oliver Saunders, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Saunders continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaynaya'ah Phillips, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Jensen Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lincoln Campo led the charge by scoring 15 points along with three steals. Cordell Wilkins was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Jensen Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okeechobee will take on Port St. Lucie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Port St. Lucie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Jensen Beach, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Centennial presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jensen Beach in Florida (Centennial is ranked 116th, while Jensen Beach is ranked 502nd).
