Grenada has been on the road for six straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Winona Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Grenada scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 62-50 win over North Panola. The victory was just what Grenada needed coming off of a 74-53 loss in their prior matchup.
Grenada got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Harges out in front who scored 18 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Harges has scored at least 25% of Grenada's points. Carlei Brown was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Winona strolled past Water Valley with points to spare last Tuesday, taking the game 47-32.
Grenada's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Winona, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Grenada against Winona in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 71-26 win. Does Grenada have another victory up their sleeve, or will Winona turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
