After a string of three wins, Mitchell's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Washington Warriors, falling 14-2. The Kernels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Mitchell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Linke, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mitchell is set to take on their familiar foe Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Washington will face off against rival Yankton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
