Scottsbluff is a perfect 10-0 against Gering since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bearcats will head out to face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Gering took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Scottsbluff, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Scottsbluff turned things around against Lexington on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Minutemen by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Gering unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 7-1 to Douglas. While losing is never fun, Gering can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 36th in Nebraska, while Douglas are ranked fourth in Wyoming).

Gering's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Scottsbluff, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Scottsbluff took their win against Gering in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 5-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
