It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mitchell had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  10-3 margin over the East Lake Eagles. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Taylor Tucker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 21 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  MacKenzie Tucker, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.  Audrey Midyett also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Mitchell  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in six consecutive  matches.
Mitchell's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 23-6. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for East Lake, they moved to 21-5 with that  loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.
 Coming up, Mitchell will square off against Parrish Community at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bulls will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. East Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
