After losing to the Plant Panthers the last time they met, the Durant Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Durant managed a 57-53 win over Plant on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Durant.
Leading Durant to victory were Austin White and Wylde Correa. White scored 17 points along with four steals, while Correa dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Correa has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Isaac Correa was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Durant has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Plant, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.
Durant will head out on the road to face off against Strawberry Crest at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plant, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bayshore Christian at 7:30 p.m. Bayshore Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 545th, while Plant is ranked 116th).
