The Park View Patriots had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 56-49 victory over Spotsylvania. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Park View also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Park View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Helstrom led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Earnhart, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Park View's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Spotsylvania, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park View will take on Hylton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spotsylvania, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Louisa County at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st.
