Softball Recap: Conestoga Wins Going Away Against Lower Merion

Conestoga got themselves on the board against Lower Merion on Wednesday, but Lower Merion never followed suit. They blew past the Aces 16-0. Considering the Pioneers have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Conestoga pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lower Merion, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Conestoga is set to square off against their familiar foe Ridley at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lower Merion will take on rival Haverford at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
